This Privacy Policy describes how SiMPLI and PoSTA APP ("we," "our," or "us") collects, uses, and shares your information in connection with your use of the SiMPLI and PoSTA mobile application (the "App").

We are committed to protecting your privacy. By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of your information as described in this policy.

2. Information We Collect and Why (The Camera Permission)

We request access to your device's camera (android.permission.CAMERA) solely to provide the following core features of our App:

• To Scan Barcodes: When you use the barcode/QR code scanner feature, the camera feed is used in real-time to identify and decode barcodes. The image data from the camera is processed entirely on your device. We do not store or transmit these live camera images to our servers. The only information we may collect is the result of the scan (e.g., the product number or URL from the barcode) to provide you with relevant information.
• To Take and Share Photos in order to complete the Pigeons Races: When you use the feature to take a new photo within the App, the camera is used to capture an image.
• The photo you take is stored locally on your device in your gallery/photo album, unless you choose to share it.
• If you choose to share a photo (either one you just took or one selected from your gallery) within a group in the App, that image file is will be send via Telegram or Whatsapp to Pigeons Race Administrator to facilitate the sharing functionality. The image is transmitted securely and stored temporarily to deliver it to the intended group members.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

• To provide, maintain, and improve the App's core features (barcode scanning, photo sharing).
• To facilitate communication and sharing between users within private groups.
• To troubleshoot technical issues and ensure the security of our App.

4. How We Share Your Information

• Photos You Share: The primary sharing of information happens at your direction. When you share a photo within a group, that photo is made visible to all other members of that specific group. Please be aware that you should only share photos with people you trust, as other group members could save or reshare the image outside of the App.
• Service Providers: We use third-party service providers (e.g., cloud storage providers, database hosting services) to help us operate and maintain the App. These providers are contractually obligated to handle your data securely and confidentially and are prohibited from using it for any other purpose.
• Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in the good-faith belief that such action is necessary to comply with state and national laws or to respond to a court order, judicial proceeding, or valid legal process.

We do not sell your personal information or photos to third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.

5. Data Retention

• Barcode Scan Results: Data from scans (e.g., product numbers) may be stored locally on your device to populate a history list. You can usually clear this history from within the App's settings.
• Shared Photos: Photos you upload to a group are stored on our servers for as long as the group exists or until you or a group admin deletes them. Deleted photos are permanently removed from our servers.

6. Your Choices and Controls

• Camera Permission: You can grant or deny the camera permission at any time through your device's settings. Please note that denying this permission will prevent you from using the barcode scanning and in-app photo capture features.
• Managing Shared Content: You can delete photos you have shared within a group, which will remove them for all group members.

7. Security

We implement industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect your information, especially during the transmission and storage of your shared photos. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

8. Children's Privacy

Our App is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date.
